Frequently Asked Questions

Our check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. It is possible to request an early check in at 1pm for an additional £30.00 or a late checkout at 1pm for an additional £30. Please request this with a member of the team at Cathedral View Glamping before doing so as payment is required prior to arrival.

We offer a self-check in service here. Your key will be in the door upon the day of your arrival from 4pm and we ask that you leave your key in the pod door upon your departure.

Our minimum stay is 3 nights from a Friday or 4 nights from a Monday.  You can also book a 7-night stay from Friday or Monday. The maximum length of stay in one lodge is 21 days.

We provide bed linen, towels, robes, and slippers in your lodge upon arrival.

We provide a starter welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and biscuits to start you off. We also supply you with our ‘taste of Somerset’s pack’.

There is a hairdryer, and we provide complimentary toilet rolls start you off. As we are self-catering, we do recommend you do a shop for the remainder of your stay.

We are an adult only park.

Gas, electricity, heating, and water are all included in the cost of your holiday.

Yes. We have one dog-friendly pod – Chapterhouse. There is a maximum capacity of two dogs per booking, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Yes. £40 per dog

One of our pods is pet friendly, however we do have a few rules to ensure the park can be appreciated by pet owners and non-pet owners alike.

There is an abundance of fields surrounding your pods and your dog is more than welcome to exercise and run in. Please see below our on-site doggy rules:

  1. Your booking confirmation must state you have a pet during your stay. This ensures you have received permission from Cathedral View Glamping prior to your arrival.
  2. Dogs must not be left I the pod alone at any given time
  3. All fouling must be disposed of in an appropriate manner and that you do not let your dog mess on the grass around the pods. There is a dog waste bin at the entrance of the site.

No. However, you are only a 5-minute walk from the centre of Wells Market Square and high street where you will find a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars.

Smoking is prohibited in all pods. Please be aware that these restrictions may be extended to the external and surrounding areas of the lodges.

Leave your waste in the park bins next to the pod in the waste bin shed.

We understand this may happen from time to time. We will make sure your belongings are left in our lost and found area. We ask our guests to contact us if they believe they have left any belongings behind. From there, we will liaise with you about returning them, however, please note that we cannot be held accountable for any belongings you have left behind.

You are a 5-minute walk from the centre! We are lucky enough to site overlooking the iconic Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace and Gardens?

You are also a 5-minute walk from Morrison’s supermarket store.

If your holiday is more than 8 weeks away, a deposit of £125 or 25% of the total holiday cost (whichever is greater) is required to secure your booking. You can pay by debit/credit card, or over the phone or online. We only accept payment in pounds sterling.

If you would like to order the ‘Breakfast Hamper’ or ‘Welcome Hamper’ please give us a call on 01749 704 784. Alternatively, you can order a hamper when you book online. We will make arrangements for your hamper to be in your pod upon arrival.

Your final balance must be paid no less than 8 weeks before the start of your stay. We will send a reminder 7 days prior to the date it is due, and this will include a secure payment link for you to pay the balance. If your holiday is less than 8 weeks away at the time of your booking, the full payment will be required to secure the booking.

You can pay for your holiday by debit/credit card or over the phone or online.

We can provisionally hold a pod without charge or obligation for 24 hours whilst you get ready to confirm. Provisional bookings cannot be made on the website so please contact the office. In some cases, we may not be able to a hold a property for you, such as within a few days/weeks of arrival.

You will receive your booking confirmation in full of directions once the final balance of your holiday is paid. If you have paid your full balance and are yet to receive your booking confirmation, please contact the office directly.

If you need to cancel your holiday, please inform us in writing as soon as possible. You can find full details of our cancellation policy in our booking terms and conditions, which can be viewed on our website.
